He performed again last weekend after Chidinma Ekile invited him to sing for them at her church, Embrace International Assembly in Lagos. this time, he was blessed by the man of God.Korede first appearance as a performing act in a Church was at HICC(Harvesters International Christian Centre) where he sang Godwin.

Nigeria loses N50trn annually from untapped natural resources
LAGOS— Federal, states and local governments are losing about N50 trillion annually from untapped resources that abound in the nation’s soil. Nigeria is estimated to be losing about N8 trillion annually from untapped gold. The estimates are monies that should have accrued to the federation account from royalties, taxes, charges and other fees from companies and individuals operating in the solid mineral sector if the Federal Government had paid enough attention to the development of solid minerals in the country.
Going by this, Nigeria should not have had any financial crisis any time crude oil prices face southward. In fact, states in the country would have been well off financially and would not have been talking about bail out.
However, the Mining and Mineral Act of 2007 which puts the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources in the exclusive list has hindered state from developing mineral deposit in their jurisdiction. Nigerians put the blame at the feet of federal politicians that have paid lip service to fiscal federalism.
The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, NEITI, audit report of 2012 suggests that there are about 40 different kinds of solid minerals and precious metals buried in Nigeria soil waiting to be exploited. The commercial value of Nigeria’s solid minerals has been estimated to run into hundreds of trillions of dollars, with 70 per cent of these buried in the bowel of Northern Nigeria.

Talented
songstress, Waje was the lady behind the popular chorus in Psquare’s
smash hit, Do me. But unfortunately, she didn’t get to feature in the
video. In a new chat with the Netng,She expressed her
disappointment:Honestly, I felt defeated. I felt very sad. I was yet go
get my big break then; maybe appearing in the video would have helped me
become popular at that time. The song was huge and the video was
topping charts, I believed featuring in the video would have given me my
big break at that time. But in all, I thank God I was able to do it on
my own few years after.’‘I can’t really explain what happened at that
time. I felt they contacted my record label. And you know the video
wasn’t shot here, it was shot in South Africa. Maybe I was dropped
because of logistics reason, I wouldn’t know.’…

Timi Dakolo Reveals That He Hawked Pure Water & Plantain Chips As A Youngster
In a new interview with Naijapals, Soul singer Timi Dakolo opens up on his career & the struggles he faced while growing up. Read excerpts below:
On how he makes his money, he said:
I make my money from shows. Because you don’t see me on these publicized music concerts doesn’t mean I don’t get shows. I make money performing at corporate events. I get paid well for performing at birthday and private parties….
He said he used to hawk pure water and plantain chips while growing up in Port Harcourt…..
I grew up with my grandmother in Port Harcourt. I grew up to know that my grandmother was my only parent. She used to have a shop at Mile 3 market in Port Harcourt. After school, I would join her at the market. I hawked pure water, plantain chips etc. I did a lot of hustling as a young boy. But the truth is, what I went through whilegrowing up made me who I am today, the experience taught me that hard work pays.
He also revealed that things were still very tough for him after winning Nigerian Idols…
The big break didn’t come immediately after Idol. Despite the fact that I won the competition, it was very tough for me when I started my career. I had problems such that I didn’t know my left from right. It was very tough for me and winning the competition put a huge pressure on me, people were expecting me to hit the ground running but nothing was happening. I wasn’t releasing songs; I didn’t even know where to go from there. I later met Cobhams, I told him I may not have money to pay you now but I will pay you someday, let’s start making music and that was how my story changed.
